Pro angler Charlie Youngers to hold bass fishing clinics

Pro angler Charlie Youngers, a member of the United States’ victorious 2007 Eurobass Cup team and a participant on the Bassmaster Elite Series tour since its inception in 2006, will be conducting fishing clinics November 10 and 11 at two Kissimmee area communities being developed by Avatar Properties Inc. Both clinics are open to the public free of charge.

Fishing competitively for the past 25 years on various professional circuits, the Geneva resident and award-winning pro angler will conduct his first clinic at Avatar’s gated community of Bellalago^SM on Lake Tohopekaliga (Toho), Saturday, November 10, from 8 a.m. to Noon. On Sunday, November 11, he will conduct a second clinic from 8 a.m. to Noon at Avatar’s active-adult community of Solivita®.

Youngers, whose primary sponsor on the 2007 Bassmaster Elite Series Tour was Avatar, plans to discuss matching gear with fishing styles, pattern fishing, and bass fishing basics that include line tying and types of tackle, lures and bait. Each clinic will include live demonstrations, a question and answer session, and a drawing for a half-day of fishing with Youngers.

Youngers recently returned from the 4^th annual Eurobass Cup where a 12-member U.S. team of professional anglers soundly defeated a European team of all-star anglers, 22-2, on the Ricobayo Reservoir in Zamora, Spain. The U.S. has won all four years.

Fishing’s equivalent of golf’s Ryder Cup, the two-day event featured some of America’s top anglers, including Terry Segraves of Kissimmee, the only other Floridian on the team. The European team was made up of award-winning anglers from Spain, Italy, Portugal and France.
